Department of hindi
The Department of Hindi was established in 2014. It served its purpose by teaching Hindi as an additional language of various UG programmes. The department aims at creating a love and respect for the national and official language Hindi. The course is offered to improve the communication skills of students.

The Department of Hindi was extremely proud to have successfully conducted its first ever national webinar on 10th December, 2020, the World Hindi Day. The resource person for the day was Dr. C.J. Presenna Kumari, the former HOD of Hindi, Govt. Women’s College, Vazhuthacaud. She presented her views on the topic “Relevance of Hindi Language in the World”. The Principal Dr. K. M. Francis inaugurated the webinar and delivered a speech. The webinar imparted useful information to the students.

WOMEN IN POST INDEPENDENT HINDI LITERATURE
The Department of Hindi successfully conducted the second National Webinar on International Women’s Day 8th March 2021. The Resource person for the day was Dr Krishna Agnihothri. She is the Eminent writer in Modern Hindi Literature. She is the senior women writer in Hindi fiction. She presented her views on the topic “ Women in post independent Hindi Literature”.
