Mother Theresa College is a self-financing institution founded on 1st July 2014 and stands affiliated to the University of Kerala.The institution owes its existence to the foreseeing vision of its founder and Patron His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Clemis Catholicos ,the Major Archbishop of Trivandrum.Rt.Rev.Philip Ozhunalloor Corepiscopo who has dedicated his life for the upliftment of the downtrodden in this area has been instrumental in the establishment of this institution . The Church gratefully acknowledge his support and deep commitment for the integral growth of this region .It is an institution run by the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church, which is recognized as a minority community in the State of Kerala and the management is a leading educational agency in the State having a golden track record honoured with high recognition and reputation for governing and running Mar Ivanios College,Thiruvananthapuram,one of the top ranked institutions in the state which is granted recently with the status of Autonomy by UGC and Government of Kerala.The clean and eco-friendly campus of Mother Theresa College is located in a hilly region in the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala .The campus is about 16km away from Thampanoor KSRTC Bus Terminal and railway station. The campus is connected to Thiruvananthapuram with a network of roads and a chain of KSRTC buses and the area is remarkable for its serenity, tranquilllity and biodiversity. Another worth mentioning aspect of the campus is that it is very close to the Agasthyakoodam biosphere reserve.
